"A Tale of Survival" is Now Public Art, Installed at Palm Springs Int'l Airport

A Tale of Survival, a second iteration of our original art installation — A Tale of Survival in the Face of Crushing Inertia — was installed at Palm Springs International Airport in October 2019. In the winter of 2017, the art installation by Debi Grupe and Linda Maxson, was opened to the public at Maxson Art gallery in Palm Springs. The 8-foot by 8-foot column of floating balls, rising from floor to ceiling in the gallery piqued the interest of Palm Springs Public Arts Commissioner, Russell Pritchard. Pritchard launched a quest to find a suitable public space for a second installation, inspired by Crushing Inertia, ultimately choosing the Palm Springs International Airport as the intended site.
