Whenever he is selecting wood for his wood sculpture art, and even when he's working with the pieces he has in the shop, Greg is drawn to smaller, interesting shapes that can become evocative wood carved sculptures.
His affinity with Hawaii, evident in his Hawaiian wood carvings and Hawaiian sculptures, as well as his love for mountains and hiking, is reflected in his work. However, Greg always remembers that the wood itself has its own story to tell.
It's his job as a wood figures artist to enhance the grain, shapes, and contours of each piece, creating unique wood art sculptures that reveal where the story leads him.
