"Unintended Consequences," this 60" x 24" glazed ceramic piece features a detailed sculptural human eye with three descending teardrops, the last touching the floor. The dark-shaded eye showcases meticulous detail in the iris and eyelid. Subtle figures within the iris and drops add layers of meaning, emphasizing themes of sadness and introspection. This composition uses simplicity to convey deep emotion, inviting viewers to reflect on the broader emotional impact. The creation of this artwork was driven by contemplations on the unintended consequences of actions taken…decisions that cause significant, though often overlooked, harm.
