S A M S O N
Marc Samson was born in 1965 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. In his early age, he demonstrated clear aptitudes in arts. Although, it is in the 90’s, in Vancouver, British Columbia, that he encountered, who he calls, his mentor. Terence Greer, ex-professor at the London Art Academy in Great-Britain, was content to privately accompany him without restricting his potential, teaching him solely the essential basis on which he could frame his own vision. Forever seeking to excel himself as a way of life ever since his initial track & field training, it isn’t surprising that SAMSON approaches painting with the same commitment and determination. Art is today a participant to his overall health regimen, allowing this part of him that accepts no boundary to endlessly elaborate on canvas. Drawing from his memories and subconscious mind, he remains attentive to his inner feelings and lets the magic happen. In the habit of delivering high level performances, once in front of the easel he fully concentrates on creating dynamic and expressive works that explode with colours. SAMSON’s modern approach is characterized by his geometric interpretation of realism, the richness of his textures as well as his multiple tonalities and patterns. His distinctive style seems to lure an extensive diversity of art collectors worldwide. We find his works in Austria, Great-Britain, France, Mexico, Canada and United States. SAMSON uses numerous mixed media to build his masterpieces. In an effort to ensure that each and every zone of the painting where the eye might fall is stimulating, SAMSON treats all of them as small abstractions; the complexity of which becomes apparent as we come closer. The difficulty mainly lies in the desired coherency, from a juxtaposition of separate partitions that must cohabit independently while forming a united mosaic like whole. SAMSON is an artist of great uniqueness who succeeded in finding his own recognizable style amongst all with his vivid colours and playful concepts that stand out with profound significance. He creates art that makes people happy, his chefs-d’oeuvre light up a room and charm international audiences. Once you lay your eyes on a SAMSON, it is difficult to forget this artist.
